My mother's stepmother, Ruth, made this wonderful afghan blanket for me when I was a wee lass. It is made of acrylic materials so that we get the best of its warmth while still being able to throw it in the laundry, which is good, as our boys sleep on it for at least 8 hours a day, every day. I love how it looks with my Macro lens.

Beautiful! I have a couple of beautiful afghans, but I left them at my parents' house for when I visit home in chilly weather. There is much less need for them here in Mexico - although we are getting some chilly weather in Monterrey this month (it got down to around freezing the other night!).
